Essen has won awards for its patient care innovations and recently launched Intention Health Ventures to develop and commercialize our technology innovations.Job SummaryPosition title: Director of LogisticsJob Summary: The Director of Logistics will be responsible for all aspects of the company's supply chain policies, objectives, and initiatives. They will lead, train, and mentor a team while overseeing the company's inventory, warehousing, and distribution functions with a major organizational impact. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of supplies, equipment, and services, while maintaining high standards of quality and patient care to support the organization's clinical and administrative functions.Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing and planning all aspects of the supply chain initiatives, policies, and objectives.
  • Oversee the purchasing and distribution activities.
  • Streamline/automate the request to receive process.
  • Reduce cost via standardization and reviews/services.
  • Simplify processes and procedures.
  • Optimize sourcing.
  • Centralize products and processes.
  • Utilize/maximize GPO vendors.
  • Ensure all receivables to ensure the processing of invoices for payment.
  • Increase and enhance the use of Envi.
  • Limit the use of AMEX as a method of payment where and when possible.
  • Educate team and user base on best practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Enable transparency and communication.
  • Reduce and maintain the inventory list as well as the vendors.
  • Update Envi with all data points needed to reference items internally and externally.
  • Insist on the cost updates on a regular basis.
  • Provision and manage a warehouse with needed staff.
  • Lead, guide, and ensure training for onshore and offshore team members.
  • Complete timely team reviews.
  • Recruit team members as needed for roles globally.
  • Provide input into the yearly budget.
  • Meet with key vendors on a regular basis.
  • Present needed updates/stats to senior leadership.Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and FDA compliance.
    • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and solve problems efficiently.
    • High proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
