DescriptionDr.Reddy's North America Group seeks an exceptional
leader to Head the region's Supply Chain and External Manufacturing
Operations. The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for
overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations for North
America, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and
uninterrupted delivery of products. - The role focuses on strategic
planning, operational excellence, supplier relationship management,
inventory optimization and distribution. - The role will strive to
achieve Zero Failure-to-supply and ensure Supply flexibility is a
true differentiator allowing us to promptly respond to customers
who need the product at short notice. Leading an overall team size
of 20+; the individual will work closely with cross-functional
teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives,
product launches and customer needs. -Incumbent will work on a
hybrid work schedule from our Princeton, NJ office and will be part
of the senior leadership team reporting directly to the CEO - North
America.Roles & Responsibilities:Demand Planning------- Ability to
estimate accurate demand patterns by reviewing and analyzing
forecasts, market intelligence information on current movements in
the market, etc. with Sales & Marketing team on a periodic basis- -
Ability to proactively identify actions for supply chain by
constantly monitoring production and sales against plan- - -
Ability to monitor orders and order patterns and alert teams when
unusual orders or excess orders are observed- Ability to drive
measures for optimizing inventory levels (e.g. Transfer,
liquidation, selling to outside parties etc.) through periodic
reviews of inventorySupply Planning - Ability to plan and track
supplies coming from all internal plants and external manufacturers
in the US to maintain adequate inventories to ensure availability
of supplies in the market - -- - Ability to take interventions to
ensure availability of products at the right time and place through
optimal capacity utilization - manufacturing capacity utilization,
distribution centre capacity utilization, freight utilization,
etc.) - - Work closely with sales and marketing to plan and capture
new business (both sustained and one time buys) and continuously
keeping an eye for market shortages - - Ability to work closely
with quality teams to ensure timely release of products and timely
closure of incident investigations resulting from logistics and
warehouse issues - - Ability to conduct accurate sales inventory
operations planning including timely destruction of expired
materialsBack Order Management- - Ability to review inventory
coverage and establish initiatives to minimize back orders,
uninterruptedly service the market and ensure seamless sales- -
Ability to drive measures to mitigate production delay by
collaborating with plant heads / FTO head - - Ability to evaluate
material availability for production in close coordination with
sourcing category heads and ensure 'zero' impacts due to input
material availability towards production downtime.Sourcing- Ability
to review inventory coverage for all the materials and establish
mechanism to maintain sufficient levels of inventory on all sourced
items - - Ability to continuously look for alternate sources and
have a continuous cost improvement program to drive costs down - -
Ability to work with external manufacturers, internal plants
regulatory and quality teams to plan and execute the approval of
alternate sources (API and Packaging materials)Warehouse &
Logistics Management- Ability to ensure seamless physical
movement/flow of products by effectively managing logistics,
communication, warehouse and storage management, material handling
and distribution of goods (including reverse logistics) - - Ability
to work with the service provider to set and monitor KPIs to ensure
service levels are maintained and delivered and look for
opportunities for continuous improvement- Ability to review
existing warehouse space vs. existing demand & future projections
basis demand projections and take measures to ensure adequate
warehouse coverage.Partner Management - - Ability to build and
strengthen relationship with key CMO partners to enable launches
and completion of strategic projects- - Ability to Identify
partners to de-risk the critical products and to launch new
products. -Digital- Ability to collect, analyze and drive decisions
on massive volumes of data and in almost near real-time- Knowledge
of new technologies and ability to identify opportunities for
improving productivity, within functional area, using
digitization
