Research Specialist C
Job Description Summary
Plans and conducts complex experiments to meet research project
objectives. Performs laboratory experiments and clinical studies
for product or material formulation and development. Oversee
overall management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes
to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of
project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with content
experts to select assessment instruments. adapt existing
instruments and develop new instruments and with Principal
Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work set ups in
accordance to established protocols. Responsible for team
performance management and reviews
Position contingent upon funding.
Job Description
Duties:
1) Produce nucleoside-modified mRNA-LNP vaccines
2) Immunize mice and collect tissue specimens
3) Analyze B and T cell immune responses
4) Maintain cell lines
5) Analyzing data and writing reports
6) Ordering Supplies
7) Maintain complete and accurate lab notes
8) Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience in research,
clinical study, project and people management or equivalent
combination of education and experience is required. Master's
Degree preferred.
Preferred candidates will have knowledge and technical expertise in
handling of experimental research animals (mice), maintaining cell
cultures and familiarity with standard laboratory protein and
molecular biology techniques (Western blot, ELISA, flow cytometry,
mRNA isolation, qPCR). We are looking for an enthusiastic
individual with ability to analyze and troubleshoot experimental
conditions, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong
organizational skills with strict attention to detail, ability to
work independently in a collaborative environment and motivation
and willingness to learn new techniques. Should have some
laboratory experience working with molecular biology techniques.
Should be willing to work with small laboratory animals. Prior
experience with tissue culture work is preferred
